Flyers runners across the age groups celebrated picking up a haul of awards following excellent performances throughout the Friday 5 Series of races on varied courses in Suffolk and North Essex. Collecting their trophies at a recent Monday training night were (L to R) Sian Kingston, who added first place FV45 to her individual race awards; Chris Leek, third MV45; Jim Last, who won five of the six races in the MV45 category; Neil Smith, third MV40; Viv Taylor, second FV70 and Graham Wigley, second MV65. Overall, the club were fifth of the 57 teams who had at least one runner in the series, with the Men’s Team finishing an excellent third and the Women’s Team a highly creditable sixth.
