A tricky twisting course and blustery conditions proved no obstacle for the six Flyers teams at the Ekiden Relays, held for the first time this year at Woolverstone, with half of our teams gaining top three category places. The MV40 team secured an impressive 9th place overall of 183 teams and were 3rd in their category (2hrs 42m), a feat matched by a women’s FV45 team (3hr 27m) and by the MV60 team (3hr 14m), nicknamed the ‘Silver Surfers’. Always a great day, this year’s ‘Ekiden’ saw over a quarter of the club taking part.
